Tasty Bread Pudding

Ingredients:

6 bread slices or cut into cubes
1/2 cup sugar
4 tbsps (1/2 stick) butter
3 beaten eggs
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla essence
1/4 cup raisins
A pinch of cinnamon powder
20 cashewnuts (broken into pieces)

Method:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and butter. Add eggs, cream, cinnamon, vanilla essence, raisins, cashew nuts and mix well.
  3. Pour into a square pan. Mix the bread cubes into the liquid and let them soak the liquid for 5 minute.
  4. Set pan in a larger pan filled with water to 1/2 inch from top. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 40 minutes. Uncover the pan and bake for another 10 minutes to brown the top.
  5. The bread can be left as slices instead of cubing them.
  6. Tip: This tastes better when it is warm. If it gets cold, slightly warm it in the microwave and serve.
