The Importance of your Wedding Photographer
The wedding day is a very special moment in your life. And to
illustrate the day with everlasting memories you must consider using the right
service providers, especially the right photographer. After all, photographers
are the people who will capture your memories for years to come. If you are
looking for ways to make your special day all the more special, as a precaution,
don’t economize on choosing your photographer.
There is no hard and fast
rule about how you select a photographer for your wedding day. However, making
your selection based on the prices a photographer charges should definitely not
be a starting point. Briefly, your judgment should be made on acknowledging the
experience level of the photographer, recognizing whether the photographic style
is in tune with what you want, quality of the photography, is the photographic
package offered good for you, photographer’s personality and finally the prices.
Once again, the last thing you want to do is shop by price!
It is with
common knowledge that some people set aside a rough budget and this determines
the final decision. It is also fair to point out that most photographers are
flexible and will try to accommodate your requirements the best they can. That
said, if you approach a well-established photographer and ask them to photograph
your wedding for £600, more then likely there will be a period of silence
followed by laughter. A photographer’s skill, experience, creativity, style and
approach all take years to master, and therefore, if you get charged £1500+ you
know where they are coming from. Photographers demand the same respect from
clients’ as you would expect in any other trade.
Last year, I had the
misfortune of knowing a friend whose wedding had gone completely wrong. Giving
no names here, she made a tragic decision of choosing a photographer hastily and
solely on the price of the wedding photographic package. The photographer’s
package promised a lot to gain but in
reality she received nothing
but frustration and a few prints from what could be salvaged by the
photographer.
Be aware, that if you decide to go down the road of
comprising quality for financial gain then you will be jeopardizing the future
of your everlasting wedding memory. Remember your wedding day comes only once,
and only once does a photographer have a chance to capture this precious moment.
To summarize, choose carefully and remember less is not always more
